Artist Power Center App

The Artist Power Center is a digital web app that was created with the goal of connecting artists in the Bay Area to new opportunities that support their livelihoods such as jobs, workshops, grants, affordable housing, and more. Powered by YBCA, the Artist Power Center was created at the height of the pandemic in 2020 after seeing a need from local artists for relief funds. Since then the Artist Power Center has evolved into a digital watering hole for artists at the intersection of creativity and social justice to seek out opportunities and connect with organizations they may not have otherwise been able to access.

Artists who want to grow in their craft, connect with peers, access grants, opportunities, and other resources don’t have to look any further. The web app will specifically provide opportunities for Black, Indigenous, People of Color, disabled artists, non-native speaking and LGBTQIA+ artists in the Bay Area, aiming to recognize and strengthen the power of artists as this is essential to the health and well-being of our communities.
